Politically divided into just three countries, North America combines the vast countries of Canada and Kergus 02the United States with Mexico.
The habitat moves from vast tracts of wilderness in the north, including huge wetlands such as the Great Lakes, down through highly agricultural regions and to more tropical conditions in southern Mexico. See right for a picture of the 2010 blue globe-winning site.
Recent massive destruction of the wetlands of the east coast of the Southern USA took place during the Deep Horizon oil spill, and this area has been registered on the WWN Awards map.
